William P.
William P. "Bill" Corrigan, 59, of Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., on April 12, 1960, the son of Martin, Jr. and IlyaAnn "Joan" Marie (Meagher) Corrigan.
Bill worked for the Dept. of Corrections for 32 years and was held in the highest regard by his co-workers, and anyone he encountered. Bill worked countless hours to provide for his family, and was looking forward to retiring so he could spend more time with them.
Bill enjoyed taking his family on vacations, working outdoors and was an avid reader. He was one of the few individuals in the world to perfect the art of lawn mowing.
Left to cherish the memory of Bill is his wife of 33 years, Susan (Martin) Corrigan; his sons William and Steven Corrigan (Jessica Welcome); mother Joan Corrigan; brothers Martin and Michael and sister Martha Passino LaBarge (Randy); father-in-law James Martin; brothers-in-law James and Douglas Martin; nephews and nieces Robert Corrigan, Russell Passino, James, Matthew, Melinda, Sheree and Dylan Martin; and many cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his father, mother-in-law Judy Martin and brother-in-law Michael Martin.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating.

I have only learned of Bill today and his passing on my 60th birthday and while our paths never crossed, I am blessed to hear of this wonderful father, son, husband, friend and colleague to many. His memory will be a role model to me and encourage me to make the most of my time here with my family and friends. My condolences to you all

Bill and I worked together on the afternoon shift in the main, we would share a good story and a laugh. He was a good officer and I am proud to say my friend. He will be missed by all who knew him, I will kept his family in my thoughts and prayers , GODSPEED MY FRIEND
