Warren E. Newman
He was born in Richville, N.Y., on Aug. 20, 1933, the son of Myer and Bertha (Ells) Newman.
Following his Honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Warren owned and operated Ideal Auto Supply in Plattsburgh for 40 years. He was also a hobby sheep farmer. He was also a long time board member of the Saranac Independent Cemetery.
Warren is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia (McGee) Newman; daughter and son-in-law, Lani and Patrick Morrissey of Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Theresa Newman of Virginia; sister, Marylyn Bosworth; brothers-in-law, Dirk Davis, Robert and Betty McGee, and Paul and Dot McGee; two grandchildren, John Morrisey and Kate Morrissey and husband, Erik Deacon; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William G. Reamer officiating. Burial at a later date will be at the convenience of his family.
