Mooers Forks, New York - Valerie S. Dominic, 77, of Route 11, Mooers Forks, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Meadowbrook Healthcare.

She was born in Malone on July 12, 1948, the daughter of Harold and Velma (Spoor) Honsinger.

Val graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School. She married Lawrence Dominic on Oct. 18, 1968. Val was employed by the Department of Social Services until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hatters. Val enjoyed jigsaw, crossword, and word find puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lawrence Dominic; son, Joey (Sandy) Dominic of Chazy; daughters, Amie (Patrick) Sample of Mooers Forks and Rebecca (Jerry) Hebert of Mooers Forks; brother, Peter (Vivian) Honsinger of Holley, N.Y.; sisters, Penny (Alfred) Favreau of Champlain and Pamela (Barry) Smith of Malone; grandchildren, Paige (Evan) Sample, Chase (Faith) Sample, Ethan Dominic, Peyton (Dehstin) Smart, Kaleb LaBarge, Bryn Sample, Karsen LaBarge, Aiden Dominic and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Velma Honsinger.

Private funeral services were held for the family. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Edmund's Cemetery in Ellenburg.
