Timothy K. LaBarge passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2022, at CVPH Medical Center.
He was born on Jan. 18, 1955, in Plattsburgh to Kenneth and Margaret (Nadeau) LaBarge.
Tim graduated from NAC and Clinton Community with a degree in Criminal Justice. No surprise he retired from Lyon Mountain Correctional Facility in 2011 as a Correctional Officer after 35 years of service.
Tim was a motorcycle enthusiast until an accident occurred shortly after retirement. He enjoyed golf, hunting camp and maple-syruping with the Juberts, and playing cards on Friday nights with the guys at Feinberg Park. Thank you to all at Feinberg Folks. He recently added bowling with the guys in Saranac Lake, Dave Fuller, Larry Riley and Larry Branch.
He is survived by his fiancee Susan and his son Jason; his brothers Francis (Sue) and Gary (Debbie); nephews Mike, Lee (Claudine), and Ryan; and great-nieces Caitlin and Claire. On Su's side, her mother Lucille Bushey, Deborah (Kevin) Patnode, Andrew (Deb) Bushey, Angela (James) Koller, and Karen (Robert) Miller and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mom, dad, and Malcolm Bushey.
We wish to thank our very dear friends Don (Gisele) Hanson, Mark (Meg) Hanson and their grandson Graham.
To the Altona and Champlain fire and rescue squads and the CVPH ER doctors and staff, thank you so much for your caring and professionalism.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
Donations can be made to Feral Cats, the Altona Fire and Rescue Department or the Champlain Fire and Rescue Department.
