Thomas F. (Tom) Brown, age 84, of McCollums, N.Y., died Sunday, November 28th, peacefully at home.

Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Sept. 12th, 1937, he was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Brown. Tom married Vaughan Koehler and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past June.

Tom graduated in 1962 from NYS Veterinary College of Cornell. He lived and practiced in Plattsburgh for 25 years. Where he enjoyed sailing, tennis and raised a family. Then he moved to the Island of Antigua and continued to practice for another 25 years. While in Antigua he played golf and continued his love of tennis.

He retired to the woods and Rice Lake in the Adirondacks to hunt, fish, cut wood and enjoy time with his family and friends. All three Brown brothers retired to their family camp and got to enjoy several years together.

Tom is survived by his wife Vaughan, daughter's Linda Donovan, Carolyn Metcalf, Cathy Baker, son Thomas Brown, two brothers Richard Brown and Robert Brown, and eleven grandchildren, Robert, Lindsay and Jack Metcalf, Morgan, Jennifer and Katie Donovan, Shane Hausner, and Wyatt, Bella, Luci and Dylan Brown.

At Tom's request there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, family and friends wishing to remember Thomas F.
