Malone - Theresa A. Lasky, 70, of Malone, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Nov. 13, 1953, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., she was the daughter of John and Anna (Urban) Kowalowski.

She was married to Matthew Lasky on Oct. 1, 2005, at the Burke Methodist Church by Rev. Derek Trudell.

Theresa graduated from North Adirondack Central School and the CVPH School of Nursing. She was employed at Alice Hyde Medical Center as a registered nurse until her retirement in 2015.

She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Elks 1303.

Theresa loved spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, the casino, reading, bird watching, shopping, and walking with her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew of 18 years; two daughters, Meagan Scott (Eric Mitchell), Nicole Mitchell (Ken Mitchell); a son, Aidan Lasky; 14 grandchildren whom she adored; brothers, Jim (Linda) Kowalowski, Charlie (Sandy) Kowalowski and Peter Kowalowski; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Richard Scott; her in-laws, Bruce and Bernice Scott, MaryAnn and Harry O'Brien, Jack Lasky; brothers, Tom and Tony Kowalowski; sisters-in-law, Donna Kowalowski and Laurie Kowalowski; brothers-in-law, David Manley and Ellis Curtis; a nephew, Ryan Scott.

Calling hours were held at St. Mary-Murphy-Wilcox Funeral Home on Monday, February 12th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13th, at Notre Dame Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hope Lodge in Burlington, Vt.
