Tammy Brunette-Kaska Obituary
Chateaugay, NY - Tammy Lee Brunette-Kaska, passed on May 29, 2026. Tammy was born in Ormstown, Quebec, and grew up in Huntingdon, daughter of Gregory Brunette and the late Pierrette Vaillancourt.
Tammy, loving wife of Jesse Kaska, proud mom to Brody, Riley (Taylor), and Jake, and wonderful daughter-in-law to Nancy Kaska and the late Johnny "Joe" Kaska, will forever be missed and loved.
She leaves to mourn her, dearest friend Katelyn O'Neil and many other friends and family who she loved so deeply.
Tammy spent a good portion of her life in Canada working at Racines and Abracadabra, where she found her love for working with children. When Tammy married Jesse and moved to Chateaugay Lake, she brought her bright smile and compassion to Chateaugay Central School, where she was deeply embedded into the CCS community. Tammy was a sports mom through and through, never missing an opportunity to cheer on her boys in any sport they played. Her love for her pets, bowling and motorcycles was unmatched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrations of life on both sides of the border to share their memories of Tammy on July 25th, at the Lyon Mountain American Legion, 3909 NY-374, Lyon Mountain, N.Y. from 12 to 8 p.m., and on August 2nd, at the LBA Dining Hall, 1 rue McBain, Ormstown, Quebec, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at www.chateaugayfuneralhome.com.
