I am a friend of Mrs. Steven's grandchildren, and if she was anything like them, then she must have been an absolutely wonderful person. My heart goes out to the Stevens family and I will keep them in my prayers during this difficult time.

Mr. Stevens; Scott, Kim, Michelle & your families: I'm so sorry to hear that Mrs. Stevens is lost to us but gained above where she is needed. I pray that your faith carries you as it has for the years I've known your family. Mrs. Steven's smile and kindness are what I remember most from my youth and being associated with you all at/through Notre Dame. My times (and that of other basketball team members) at your home on S. Peru street were marked with feelings of love, belonging, and safety at a time when we were blessed to take all three for granted. Aside from this loss and the insufferable battle that led up to it, I hope that life has been and will resume being good to you all and t...hat the kindness and love that you, Mr. Stevens and Mrs. Stevens showed us boys, has come back to you ten-fold in this life.Read more
