Susan Zane (Durgan) Hanson, 83, formerly of the Kent Falls Road, Morrisonville, and Orange Park, Fla., died Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Hawkins, Texas, where she was currently residing.
She was born in Plattsburgh, Oct. 13, 1940, the daughter of Willis and Edith (Delorme) Durgan.
Susan will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all animals, and ice cream.
Left to cherish the memory of Susan are her sons, Thomas Hanson of Racine, Wis., Charles Hanson Jr. of Orange Park, Fla., and Robert Hanson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and daughters, Trudi Lawless of Carrollton, Ga., and Terry McNeill of Hawkins, Texas; also 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren survive to honor her memory and carry on her legacy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Lester Hanson; brothers, Merton Durgan, Charles Durgan, Leonard Durgan, Steve Durgan, and Guy Durgan; and her sisters, Ellen Barnhart, Mildred (Sal) Basset, Nellie Adams, Helen Bailey, and Marian Durgan.
May she find peace in the loving arms of Jesus Christ her savior.
Committal prayers and burial will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
