Sandra loved spending time with family and friends. Her favorite hobby was her flower garden.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wallace LaGoy; two daughters, Sherri LaGoy of Plattsburgh, Ellen LaGoy and companion Adam Tavernier of Ellenburg Depot, a son, William LaGoy of Ellenburg Depot, and an adopted daughter Melissa Burdo of Ellenburg Depot, as well as a son-in-law Terry LaFountain of Ellenburg Depot; two granddaughters, Stephanie LaFountain of Churubusco, Shantel LaFountain and companion Josh Weightman of Champlain; 4 great-grandchildren, Avalynn, Braxton, Ryleigh and Travis; three sisters, Linda McDonald of Mooers Forks, Debbie Provost and husband Allen of Beekmantown, and Laura Wilson of Altona; three brothers, Daniel Patnode and wife Nel of Plattsburgh, James Patnode of Plattsburgh, Randy Patnode and companion Cindi Kimball of Beekmantown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Judith Barber and Ellen Rabideau; three brothers-in-law, Richard Barber, Roger Bodah and Grant Wilson as well as four nephews and one great-nephew.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at her home at 589 Jerusalem Road, Ellenburg Depot, NY 12935 on Aug. 17, 2019, starting at 12 p.m. Food and refreshments will be served.
Memorial donations may be offered to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center of Plattsburgh or directly to the family to be donated.
The family would like to make special thanks to Wally's cousin Joan Crowley for everything she did to help at their home and at the hospital during this time of need.
