West Chazy, NY - Robert H. Underwood, 80, of West Chazy, on Nov. 29, 2025, at the UVHN:CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., on May 5, 1945, the son of Clifford and Bertha (Brassard) Underwood.

Robert retired from Wyeth in Rouses Point, N.Y.

Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Helen Marie LaFountain of Standish, N.Y.; they were married on July 25, 1970, at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. His brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Patricia Underwood of Plattsburgh and Randy and Cathy Underwood of West Palm Bay, Fla., his sister, Kathy Underwood of Melbourne, Fla., and Betty and Gary Dragoon of Sciota, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Joan and David Wadden.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Burial will be at Assumption of Mary Cemetery in Redford, N.Y., later next year.

Donations in Robert's memory may be made to Hope Lodge, Burlington, Vt., Masses in his memory at Sacred Heart Church or a charity of one's choice.
