Randolph Joseph Furnia (Randy) Obituary

Lebanon, Ohio - Randy joined his parents and siblings that had gone on before, on Saturday, Nov. 29th, 2025, at his residence in Lebanon, Ohio.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Dec. 27, 1954, to Paul and Anna Mae (Hart) Furnia, the youngest of seven children. He attended Holy Name and AuSable Valley Schools. He had a love of nature, having spent time working in the logging business with his father and brother Chet. In later years became an avid bird watcher at his many bird feeders.

Randy was a life long musician, playing with among others the Crystal Blues in AuSable Forks and later December Wind, near Massena, N.Y., where he lived until 2019. December Wind played many years at the Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg, N.Y.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Margaret Sousis, and brother, Chet Furnia.

He is survived by brother, Mitch Furnia of Macon, Ga., Caroline Sousis of Bennington, Vt., Diana Clark of Osborne, Kan., and Elaine Adams of Lebanon, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews.

There will be no services and burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude's or a tree planted in his name.
