Ralph Louis Campanella, of Peru, passed away peacefully on June 28th at his home, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country.
He was born in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., on Feb. 10, 1936.
Ralph graduated from Newtown High School in Queens in 1954 and proudly served his country from 1954-1956 in the United States Army stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
He worked his entire career for Wonder Bread Corporation as a district credit manager. His greatest accomplishment and source of pride was his family. Ralph enjoyed watching his grandsons play soccer and football, and attending his granddaughter's horse shows. If you wanted to see Ralph smile, just ask him about his family. He could also be seen taking daily rides with his favorite companion, Kobe.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Theresa (Palange) Campanella, and his dog, Kobe.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carol (Ossi) Campanella, his daughter, Kathleen Campanella and her companion, John Knutson, his grandchildren, Richard (Lianna) Wyckoff, Emily (James) White, Parker (Brittany) Wyckoff, and Hunter (Kiersten) Wyckoff and his great-grandchildren Lillian, Oliver, Theodore and Rhett, his stepson, Richard Burchill, companion Marlo Palmisamo, and his children Jake (Daniela) Burchill, Sam Burchill, and Shanna (Kyle) Verduin and their children, his sister Patricia Berry, niece Angela Foley, and her children and nephew John (Donna) Berry, and their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Keeseville, with Reverend Clement Rimonds, HGN, celebrating. Committal prayers and Military Honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
Instead of black, the family would like you to wear the color of your choice to help celebrate the life of Ralph.
