Phillip E. Poulin, 81, of Kippy Lane, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 6, 2023.
He was born on Sept. 26, 1941, son of Philip and Beulah (Hanlon) Poulin.
Phillip was proud to have served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962.
He married the former Gertrude "Gert" Monette in 1964 in Burlington, Vt. Gert just recently predeceased him on May 1, 2023.
They owned and operated Pine Tree Homes and The Country Burger in Mooers for many years. Phil was especially proud of his earlier time spent working for Monette's Furniture, Rouses Point Bridge, Harris Graphics and Kimpex. He prided himself as a self trained electrician and 'computer doctor.'
Phillip deeply loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his stepchildren, Sue (Mark) Marks and Mark Sample; his son Jason Poulin; daughters, Lori (Allen) Tourville, and Amy (Manny) Silva; siblings, Margaret Benoit, Micheal Poulin, Patricia Thomas, Janice Poulin, Jeanie Poulin, and Paula Cooper; grandchildren, Eric, Neil, Jason (Christy), Jennifer (Todd), Meaghan (Josh), Kelsey (Chris), Zachary, Connor, Olivia, Nolan and Piper; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Phillip was predeceased by his parents; his sister Mary; son, Kippy; son-in-law, Patrick; and grandson, Matthew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10th from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the North Country Honor Flight.
