Sumter, SC - Patricia Ann (Lacey) Standiford, age 86, died peacefully in her sleep on July 21, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y., but moved shortly afterwards to Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was the second of nine children of Wilfred Francis Lacey and Helen (Gendron) Lacey. She met the love of her life, Herman Randolph Standiford, while he was stationed in the Air Force at Plattsburgh AFB. They married on April 26, 1958, and traveled to many places including Spain, New Jersey, Hawaii and finally to Sumter, S.C., in 1973. They retired in Sumter and raised their four children there.

A funeral Mass celebrating Patricia's life will be held at St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Sumter, S.C., on Saturday, August 23rd, at 10 a.m. Reverend Ronie Lorcha, CRM will be presiding.
