PERU - Mrs. Marjorie J. "Betty" Coryea-Stansbury, 75, of Allen Hill Road, Peru, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at UVM Health Network-CVPH in Plattsburgh.. She was born in Altona, N.Y. on August 8, 1940 the daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Peryea) Coryea.. Betty was a stay at home Mom who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed baking her famous pies, gardening and needlepoint which she won many blue ribbons for. It is with heavy hearts that we bid you farewell. She is survived by her husband Ed, who was the love of her life and her rock who was always there for her; her sons, Steven and his significant other Kim and Bill Stansbury of Plattsburgh; her grandsons, Steven Stansbury of Plattsburgh and Cody and his significant other Bailey of Rouses Point who were her pride and joy; sisters, Rena and Mike Urban of Wis., Diane and John Burke of Keeseville, Linda Grattan of Va. and Darlene Coryea of Fla.; a special sister-in-law, Janet Coryea of Altona who was more like a sister and best friend to Betty; brothers-in- law, Bud Phillips of Minn. and Lyle Frampton of Fla.; daughter-in-law, Crystal Stansbury; and many nieces and nephews.. She was predeceased by her parents and in-laws, Dorothy and Garland Stansbury; sisters, Theresa Bryant, Bertha Phillips and Ester Frampton; her brothers, David, Ronald and Gordon Coryea; and her brother-in-law, Leslie Stansbury.. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at Holy Angels Church in Altona. A reception will follow in Holy Angels Hall. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.. Memorial donations may be offered to th1.50e Muscular Dystrophy Association..
