Mae F. Chase
Mae F. Chase, 95, of Standish Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.
She was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on May 15, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Marion (Shea) Doria.
Mae attended Chateaugay Central School and graduated with a New York Regents Diploma.
She was a Member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Mae married Bernard Chase at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain in 1941.
Bernard passed away 1996.
Survivors include sons, Peter Chase and his wife Victoria and Andrew Chase and his wife Tricia; daughters, Phyllis Maddux and her husband David, Patricia Golovach and her husband James and Paula Giroux and her husband Gary; sister-in-law, Jean Chase; one aunt, Margaret Welch; 14 grandchildren, Tina, Todd, Troy, Scott, Tammy, Anna, Jim, Cory, Cale, Caden, Eric, Zachary, Ariana, Andrew; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a special friend Sally Sullivan; several nieces and nephews; and a special granddaughter, Anna Golovach who cared for her for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Bernard, daughter, Penny Miller, brother, Robert Doria and sisters, Shirley LaBarge and Dorothy Ellsworth.
There will be no public calling hours.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard's Church or the Lyon Mountain Mining and Railroad Museum.
