Madeleine M. Bourdeau
Madeleine M. Bourdeau, 60, of Mountain View Drive, Rouses Point, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vt., with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh on May 4, 1959, the daughter of Clement and Aline (Bechard) Bedard.
Maddie was a lifelong resident of the North Country. She retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals with 30 years of service. She was the happiest when spending time with family, namely her five grandchildren. She enjoyed Broadway musicals and short travel trips. Maddie enjoyed her daily walks around her community in which she became a fixture no matter what the weather was outside. She took tremendous pride in her home. Maddie was well known for her zealousness in cleanliness, which was always a point of humor with her family and friends. Maddie also took pride in being the "self-appointed" photographer at all family gatherings. Everyone who knew Maddie loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Joseph Bourdeau Jr.; daughter, Tamie (Knowles) Herring, husband, Andrew; son, Thomas Knowles; and five grandchildren, Aiden, Elliott and Izen Herring, and Myla and Avilee Knowles; her mother, Aline and her dad, Hector Bedard; brothers, Lawrence and Melissa Bedard and Roger and Tina Bedard; sisters, Suzanne and Claude Dessureault, Diane and Richard Lafontaine, Johanne and David Ducatte, and Helen and Lonnie Bechard; sister-in-law, Helen Bedard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Clement; and brother, Rene Bedard.
There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Champlain. A Celebration Of Life will follow at the Knights Of Columbus, Champlain.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Madeleine M. Bourdeau may be made to: The McClure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Highway, Colchester, VT 05446.

Hi Joe, sorry to hear about your wife. I think you are a very kind and caring person. It was a joy and pleasure working with you. I didn't know your wife but if she choose to spend her life with you she must have been a kind and caring person also. Good luck .
