In Loving Memory of Kathryna Zuckerman

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryna Ohlsen Zuckerman, who left us peacefully on Dec. 7, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born on Feb. 24, 1948, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Katie was the cherished daughter of James and Jane Ohlsen. She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her selflessness, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.

Katie dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for her family. She had a unique ability to make every person she met feel valued and loved, and her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and laughter. Her strength, wisdom, and boundless compassion shaped the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She saw people for who they were and treated everyone she met with dignity and respect.

She was a graduate of St. John's Academy and Plattsburgh State University. In her professional life, she was an administrative assistant working at Plattsburgh Middle School in the library and main office. She enjoyed playing golf (making three hole-in-ones), bowling, and the game sequence. Her legacy lives on not only in her family but in the many lives she touched through her work, her generosity, and her unwavering spirit.

Katie was predeceased by her parents, James and Jane Ohlsen, her brothers, Vincent, James, Christopher, and John William. She is survived by her sister Karen Ohlsen, husband Robert, son Derek, son Zachary and his wife Heather and their children Zoe, Alexander, and Lucas, and son Michael and his wife Jeanette and their children Griffin and Hudson, and many dear friends. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.

Katie leaves behind a profound legacy of love, kindness, and the reminder to cherish every moment with those we hold dear. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
