PLATTSBURGH - Kathleen M. "Red". Coryea, 88, of Russell Barnard Apartments, Plattsburgh and formerly of the Ashley Road, West Chazy, died peacefully Monday, May 25, 2015, at UVM CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.. She was born Feb. 13, 1927 in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the daughter of Alonzo and Pearl (Bezio) Thompson.. She had worked at Plattsburgh State University College and she did private housekeeping.. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, her husband of more than 50 years, Leeward Coryea, and several brothers and sisters.. She is survived by her brother, Richard Thompson and his wife Barbara of Plattsburgh; two sisters-in-law, Helen Thompson of Plattsburgh, Mildred Coryea of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Albert Coryea of Morrisonville, Walter Coryea and his wife Nina of Morrisonville; several nieces and nephews.. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Roger McGuinness, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy, officiating.. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Chazy.. Friends wishing may make donations to the American Heart Association or the charity of ones choice..
