June Sylvia Trombley Obituary

With sadness, love, and profound gratitude, the family of June Sylvia (Bechard) Trombley announces her passing on July 5, 2024, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh, May 4, 1936, the daughter of Alphonse and Corrine (Lareau) Bechard. June graduated from St. Marys in 1954.

June married Charles Trombley Sept. 14, 1957. He predeceased her, June 25, 2007. She worked at Clinton County Health Dept for many years, prior to retiring. She lived in Mooers Forks until retirement then six months in Port Charlotte, Fla.

June was a communicant of St. Ann's, and volunteered at church; she loved gardening, golfing, hosting gatherings at their homes, loved traveling with Charlie, loved watching Charlie race, bowling, and golfing in the woman's league.

June loved her role as a mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed looking at her calendar book and mailing daily birthday cards to her friends and loved ones, reading her newspaper every night and would save clippings, she loved baking pies and sitting on the front porch watching and waving to folks driving by.

Mom was social butterfly and could light up a room. She enjoyed dressing up and going to events, taking care of Charlie and her family, and hosting holiday celebrations.

She always wanted everyone to get along and be grateful to God. She always enjoyed daily conversations and talking about how good God is. She believed in the power of prayer always leading/guiding her family into Sunday Mass and then enjoying brunch at the Blue Note, always finishing her meal with her forever favorite, their homemade donuts.

Mom blessed so many people with her faith, beauty and grace. She never left the house without looking her best and having every hair in place. Her outfits and accessories always were color coordinated with the event.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Trombley and his wife Tami Trombley; two grandsons, Kasey Trombley and Joseph King; brother Glenn and his wife Constance Bechard; sisters, Gloria Turner, Claudette Novara, Brenda Duquette, and Donna Bechard; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1 p.m. at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Committal prayers and entombment will follow in the Town Of Ellenburg Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot. A celebration of life will follow in the Gold Room at the Rainbow in Altona. All are welcome.
