Jeanne M. Lessor, 64, of North Bangor, N.Y., passed away Saturday morning, May 30, 2020, at her son and daughter-in-law's home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.

Born in Malone, N.Y., Oct. 25, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Wallace "Baldy" and Claire Benoit Poupore. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Malone, in 1973 and attended Canton ATC. While in high school, Jeanne was a cheerleader, played girls softball and received the Franklin County Dairy Princess Award.

Jeanne was a teacher at GymTots Preschool in Plattsburgh for many years. She later was employed as a scan clerk for Yando's Big M in Plattsburgh, N.Y., until she retired on July 28, 2019, because of her health. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Justin and Noel Lessor of North Bangor, N.Y., and Jacob Lessor of Plattsburgh, N.Y., four brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Lynn Poupore of Malone, N.Y., Scott and Judy Poupore of North Bangor, N.Y., Peter Poupore of North Bangor, N.Y., Aaron and Lori Poupore of North Bangor, N.Y., and Lisa Poupore Crossman of North Bangor, N.Y., two sisters, Paula Poupore of North Bangor, N.Y., and Mary Kemp of Malone, N.Y., three grandchildren, Damien, Piper and Parker Lessor of North Bangor, N.Y., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Patrick Poupore.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020, at noon at Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone, N.Y. A Celebration of her life will be held on a date and time to be announced.

Donations may be made in her memory to establish a college education fund for her grandchildren.
