Jean K. Bresette
Jean Kay Bresette, 70, of Clinton Street, Keeseville, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at her home under the loving care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.
She was born in Altus, Okla., July 5, 1949, the daughter of Dale and Jo (Davenport) Strother.
Jean graduated from Duncan High School in 1966 and continued her education at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. At the age of 50, she earned an Associate degree in accounting from Clinton Community College.
Jean and Rick met at the Sonic Drive-In, in Duncan, Okla., in February of 1970, and married November 7, of the same year.
Being the wife of a soldier she moved around a lot and had multiple jobs. She was a Teacher, Office Manager, Tax Consultant for H&R Block, worked as a civilian for the US Army and Air Force, and retired from CVPH as a Transcriptionist.
Jean was a life time member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Keeseville VFW Post 1505.
Jean enjoyed reading, art and spending time with family.
Left to cherish the memory of Jean are her husband Richard Bresette; sons, Richard Bresette II and his wife Adina, Brian Bresette and his wife Robin; grandchildren Jason, Brianna, Avery and Arie; great-grandson, Gabriel; siblings, Janice Strother, Patsy Strother and Larry Strother; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by her parents.
There will be no public calling hours or services. A celebration of life will be held Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at 4 p.m., at the Keeseville VFW Post 1505.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jean Bresette may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the High Peaks Hospice of Essex County.
