Janet (Worth) Goot, 83, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021, after a seven year battle with Alzheimer's. Janet was a pillar in her community, she gave countless hours to A.E Phelps Fire Co. as well as many community events. She was a hard working busy lady who was a real estate broker, tax preparer and volunteer fireman, all while running a diner and campground. She helped create many memories for people with her summertime Music Jamborees that were held in her home town.

She is survived by her brothers, Alvin Brownell (Leona) Easton, N.Y., Richard Brownell (Helen) Easton, N.Y., Wesley Brownell (Joanne) Easton, N.Y., Harvey Brownell (Ernestine) Franklin, Texas; sisters Mary Jane Anderson, Minot N.D., Martha Sherman (John) Schuylerville, N.Y.; three sons and daughter-in-law, William Worth (Nevada), Wayne Worth (Arizona), Walter Worth (Crown Point), and Marybeth Worth (Arizona). Grandchildren Walter Worth II, Kyle Worth, Ashley Bennett, Grace Breshnahan (Collin), Keegan Choffat and two great-grandchildren.

Janet was predeceased by her loving husband Michael Goot (2016) and her grandson Ryan Micheal Worth (2021).

Special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Elderwood of Ticonderoga for taking good care of Janet the last six years.

Services will be held Sunday, August 1st, at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 1682 Creek Road in Crown Point with Cemetery ceremony to follow across the street.

A celebration will follow at the campground Janet began now called Maple Ridge Park, 2922 Rte 9N, Crown Point.
