Plattsburgh, NY - James Winfield Jenkins, 66, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., died at home after a long illness.
Born on Nov. 1, 1959, in Plattsburgh. He was the son of Robert Maxwell Jenkins and Elizabeth Jeane Haley Jenkins.
James (Jim) attended St. John's Academy and graduated from Plattsburgh High School. He earned a Bachelors and Masters degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.
He moved to Denver, Colo., where he worked for his brother Robb's construction company, Jarcon, for 10 years, before returning to Plattsburgh.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Corrigan (Joe) and his brothers, Robb Jenkins (Gerri) and John Jenkins (Lori) and nephews, Peter Corrigan, Robb, Joseph, Mathew, and Harry Jenkins. He is predeceased by his parents and nephews, Michael and Christopher Corrigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
