Gertrude Trudy Poulin, 89, of Kippy Lane, passed away May 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1933, daughter of Leeward and Loretta (O'Meara) Monette.

Gert married Phillip Poulin in 1964 in Burlington, Vt. They owned and operated Pine Tree Homes and The Country Burger in Mooers for many years. She loved to spend time visiting with others and sharing a good laugh. Gert was also an animal lover and will be missed by her canine companion "Baby Foxy."

Gert loved the time spent with her family making memories and sharing stories.

Those left behind to cherish those memories include her husband of 58 years, Phillip Poulin; sons, Mark Sample and Jason Poulin; daughters, Sue (Mark) Marks, Lori (Allen) Tourville, and Amy (Manny) Silva; sister, Joanne Peete; grandchildren, Eric, Neil, Jason (Christy), Jennifer (Todd), Meaghan (Josh), Kelsey (Chris), Zachary, Connor, Olivia, Nolan and Piper; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews including her special niece Kristie O'Connor.

Gertrude was predeceased by her son, Kippy; son-in-law, Patrick Hogle; and grandson, Matthew.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers.
