Gail M. Wilson, 84, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter.

She was born in Lyon Mountain on June 14, 1938, the daughter of Randolph and Lena (Facteau) Wilson.

Gail graduated from Lyon Mountain High School in 1957 and worked for numerous years in Lyon Mountain at her beauty salon.

She was very dedicated to her church and her community and was a member of many organizations including, the Catholic Daughters, The American Legion Women's Auxiliary, the Lyon Mountain Fire Department Auxiliary, the Friends of Lyon Mountain Mining and Railroad Museum, and the Lyon Mountain Senior Housing.

Gail loved to read and she read a book every day, especially Danielle Steele books. She cherished the time spent with her family and especially enjoyed going on cruises and playing bingo with her sisters. Gail also did ceramics in her early years, and many are still cherished by family members today.

Gail was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, and held many special bonds with many family members.

Survivors include her daughter Liza (Jonathan) Rushford and Shelby (Pete) Siskavich, whom she always considered one of her own; daughter-in-law, Becky (Stephen) Brown; sisters, Kathleen Scott, Phyllis Coleman, and Carol Buksa; brother-in-law, Earl Couture; sister-in-law, Theresa Wilson; grandchildren, Steven Wilson Jr., Krista (Karl) Anderson, Andrew Wilson, Cameron (Amanda Martinez) Rushford and Kate Siskavich; and several nieces and nephews.

Gail was predeceased by her parents; son, Steven Wilson; brothers, Keith Wilson and Russell "Rusty" Wilson; sister, Jeanette Couture; and brothers-in-law, George Scott and Frank Buska.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Lyon Mountain American Legion, the Lyon Mountain Fire Department, or the Friends of Lyon Mountain Mining and Railroad Museum.
