Eldmour W. Manor Obituary

Eldmour W. Manor, 97, of Route 11, Mooers Forks, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at his home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.


He was born in Mooers Forks, July 10, 1927, the son of William and Leona (Rabideau) Manor.


Eldmour served during the Korean War with the US Army, until he was honorably discharged in 1953.


He married Gladys Mesick on June 30th 1956.


Eldmour ran his own garage and store until he went to work for NCCS in Champlain for many years prior to retiring, Dec. 29, 1989.


Eldmour is survived by his wife Gladys of 68 years; sons, Alan Manor of Mooers Forks, William "Billy" Manor and Cathy of Caloocan, Philippines, and Allen Calhoun of Mooers Forks; two granddaughters, Natasha Manor of Plattsburgh, and Cataline Manor of Caloocan, Philippines; grandson, Austin Manor of Plattsburgh; sister, Gladys Hilliker of Champlain; sisters-in-law, Shirley Ledue of Chazy, and Catherine Sabourin of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale William Manor his wife Elaine Thibeault and their son Jesse Manor; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.


His family will receive guests, Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 from 10 to 11 A.M at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11, with a reception to follow at the Rainbow Banquet Hall. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery.


Donations in his memory may be made to St. Ann's Church or Hospice of the North Country.
