Eileen Bernadette Bosley Obituary

Eileen Bernadette Bosley, 84, of Devils Den Road, passed away peacefully March 3, 2024, at CVPH after complications from a fall, with her loving family by her side.

Born at home in Mooers Forks, Nov. 29, 1939, to Noah and Louise (Menard) Lafountain, the fifth child of twelve.

Eileen grew up on her family's farm on Lamberton Road, coincidentally the same road as her future husband. She later married David on Aug. 19, 1961, and together they raised seven children. She also babysat for several other children through the years that she treated as her own. During that time as a homemaker she enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and gardening. Later on, after catering many banquets around the North Country she and David made the decision to buy the Candlelight and worked side by side with their children until it closed in 2002. They catered many church dinners, weddings, and anniversaries throughout the years; it was very important to them to make each event special. She also worked at the Slipper Factory in Mooers at the same time as David and Commonwealth in Champlain and Willsboro.

Eileen was a member of Holy Angels Church in Altona, the Ladies of St. Ann, and the Catholic Daughters Court Little Rose of St. Edmund's in Ellenburg.

She leaves behind seven children and 13 grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter due any day including Deborah Bosley, Darlene (Dennis) Rabideau, their children Dylan and Danielle "Sissy," Claire (Todd) Lambert, their children Noah (Jazlyne) and soon to be Baby Lennon, Cody and Austin, Randy (Kim) Bosley, their children Brett (Susannah) and Tyler, Ricky (Rena) Bosley, their children Samantha and Olivia, Christine (Rick) Kalvaitis, their children Joshua and Evan, and Kevin (Joyce) Bosley, their children Nicholas Boire and Michelle (Josh) Helm and their son Adler.

She leaves behind siblings, Yvonne (Roger) Lavalley, Clarence Lafountain (Marie MacKenzie), Jeannette (Wayne) Labarge, Dorothy (Real) Duteau, Joan (Thomas) Bosley, Barbara (Alex) Bechard, Susan (John) Anctil, Francis (Connie) Lafountain, and Patricia (Robert) Dessureault and sister-in-law Gloria Lafountain.

In-laws, Edna Sherman, Loretta (Ronald) Kirby, Lawrence Bosley, Edward (Theresa) Bosley, Thomas (Joan) Bosley, Theresa Bosley and Romain Perras; along with numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of her extended family.
