Queensbury, NY - Earrold Hanlon Brockington, 93, died on Jan. 30th, 2026, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Earrold was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, and his strength and wisdom will be missed by many. Earrold was born on Sept. 11, 1932, in Montreal, Canada, to Felix and Ida (Peron) Brockington. He moved with his parents and sister Eunice to Chazy, N.Y., when he was four, but he continued to enjoy summers working on his grandparents' farm in Napierville, Quebec, through his high school years. He graduated from Chazy High School, where he met his wife of 60 years and the love of his life, Sally Ann Reynolds.

He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army Artillery from 1953-1955. After his military service, Earrold worked for his father at F.R. Brockington Hardware, Plattsburgh, N.Y., and for his father-in-law, Ken Reynolds, at K.P. Reynolds Well Drilling in Ingraham, N.Y. In 1964, Earrold earned a degree in Engineering Drafting from The Technical Institute of Drafting in Montreal, Quebec. After graduating, he moved with his young family to Hudson Falls, N.Y., to start a career with Kamyr Inc. (a division of Ahlstrom, Inc.), eventually relocating to Alpharetta, Ga., in 1990, where he continued working in the pulp and paper industry for Ahlstrom until he retired in 1993.

Earrold enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, woodworking, and playing pool, and his family and friends loved learning from and enjoying these pursuits with him.

Earrold was predeceased by his wife, Sally Ann (Reynolds) and is survived by his son Samuel (Nancy) of Flowery Branch, Ga., his daughter Ellen Martin (Paul) of Queensbury, N.Y., his sister, Eunice Hislop of Huntsville, Ala., his sisters-in-law, Carol Ladd of Chazy, N.Y., and Eleanor Reynolds of Champlain, N.Y., and brother-in-law, Donald Reynolds of West Chazy, N.Y. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Keith (Nicole) Brockington of Greenville, S.C., Patrick (Sarah) Brockington, of Martinez, Ga., Megan Fowler (Tyson), of Buford, Ga., his great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Shay Fowler, and Holly and Noelle Brockington, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Hudson Falls United Methodist Church on April 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. A burial service will be held at the Riverview Cemetery in Chazy, N.Y., on June 29, 2026, at 1:30.
