Colleen Marie McCorry
Colleen Marie McCorry, of Dannemora, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at her residence after returning home from UVM/CVPH Medical Center for a respiratory illness. Colleen was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Nov. 2, 1959, to William and Dorothy (Carter) McCorry. She is predeceased by her parents, her dear sister Patty and her special nephew Robert.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lamothe and grandson Gavin; her brother, Mike McCorry and wife Peg, her sister, Kathleen Tetreault and husband Shawn; nieces Maggie, Dorothy and Samantha, nephew Corey, great-nephew Gabe and great-niece Willow, Aunt Gert, cousin Julie and her long-time best friend Barb. She also leaves behind Critty her cat, who was a source of companionship to her.
Colleen enjoyed the outdoors, swimming in the pool, sunbathing, mowing the lawn or tending to her flower garden. She even liked to shovel snow if there wasn't too much. Colleen was a meticulous housekeeper. If you wanted something cleaned, you wanted it "Colleen" clean. Her meal specialty was tuna fish sandwiches with chips. She loved our family gatherings and was always grateful to be there and to get an extra piece of dessert to take home. Colleen had a way about her that touched your heart. She did her best.
Colleen has gone home with her family who reside in heaven. We will never forget you Colleen; you will always be in our hearts until we meet again.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Joseph's church in Dannemora, N.Y., at a future date to be announced. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Saranac, N.Y., followed by a reception to celebrate Colleen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Please visit to share an online condolence.

I worked with Colleen in the Merle Cooper program, many, many years ago....she was a great girl, with a terrific sense of humor...occasionally I would run into her out and about and would remember old times and laugh. To say I was taken aback when I saw this was an understatement.
