Christopher K. Butz Obituary

Beekmantown, NY - Christopher K. Butz, 50, of Beekmantown, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 10, 2026. His life was dedicated to caring for others and enjoying the beauty of the Adirondacks. Chris was born on Nov. 22, 1975, in Troy, N.Y., to Karl and Harriet (Charbonneau) Butz.

A proud graduate of La Salle Institute in Troy, Class of 1995, he went on to further his passion for helping others by earning an LPN degree from BOCES in 1997. His career as a nurse in the Capital District and the Adirondacks spanned many years, marked by service and compassion in local nursing homes.

Outside of work, he cherished time spent fishing, snowmobiling, and boating on Fern Lake, especially with his son. These moments of peace and adventure brought him much joy and lasting memories with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving son Jasyn Butz; his devoted parents; his brother Jeffrey Butz; and his former wife Corrinne Corrado, whom he maintained a remarkable bond with.

A memorial service will be held at Fern Lake in the summer, where friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate a life well lived.

Donations may be made in his son Jasyn's name to Seton Catholic School, 206 New York Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12903, for Jasyn's education, a cause close to his heart.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College St., PO Box 127, Au Sable Forks, NY 12912.
