Myrtle Beach, SC - Brenda Schindler (Bishop), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home with her family on April 14, 2025, at the age of 79 after a short battle of cancer. Born in Plattsburgh, Brenda's life was dedicated to family and community. Always planning ahead for the next family gathering. She was often referred to as "the silly grandma" because of her witty sense of humor.

Beyond her family, Brenda found fulfillment in tending to her flower garden. She took pride in working with the elderly, a reflection of her compassionate heart.

Brenda's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She leaves behind a loving husband of 47 years, Barry Schindler. Her children: Dawn and husband Matt, Winema and partner Douglas, Darlene, Douglas and wife Amanda, and Raymond. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Kristoffer, Bo, Ryan, Katelyn, Michael, and Eli; and her great-grandchild, Grant. Along with several close friends.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Nancy Morgan (Bishop) and husband Frank Morgan; and will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Douglas, Elizabeth, Robert, and Christine. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Gabrielle Bishop (Bechard), and her sister, Susan Hoyt (Bishop) and her in-laws Richard and Florence Schindler.

As per Brenda's request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. A private celebration of life will be celebrated by her family.
