Barry Borden Sr., 66, of Saranac Lake, N.Y., died peacefully on June 25, 2019, surrounded by his children.

Barry, a Westport native, was the loving father to five children: Barry Borden Jr. of Westville, N.Y., Tanya Borden of Saranac Lake, N.Y., Beth Williams of Lake Placid, N.Y., Jodie Borden of Saranac Lake, N.Y., and Jason Borden of Saranac Lake, N.Y.

Barry was well known for his gentle demeanor and everlasting love for his grandchildren, Justin, Anthony, Lucas, Arriana, Blake, Cassie, Ace and Austin.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alex and Vivian Borden as well as nine siblings.

He was also the uncle to a plethora of nieces and nephews.

His enjoyment of the Adirondack outdoors was everlasting especially his love for fishing.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 28th at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake, N.Y., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a private gravesite service at Norton's Cemetery in Keene afterwards. The family would like to thank Anna Squires, Adirondack Medical Center and its wonderful, professional staff that dedicated themselves to Barry's care.
