Ocala, FL - Barbara Joyce (Provost) Caouette, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, at her home in Ocala, Fla. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Raymond. She will lovingly be missed by her son Paul Caouette (Kristine), of Holland, Mich., daughters Karen Bowers of Ocala, Fla., and Michelle Christon-Simpson (Rob), of West Chazy, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was born on Sept. 26, 1934, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was the youngest of nine children.

Barbara was a long-time communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Plattsburgh, N.Y. She very much enjoyed being with family and was fondly known as "Nana" to everyone. She loved to play cards and take care of family and her beloved pets.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 114 Cornelia St., Plattsburgh, N.Y. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of Travis Christon in Saranac.
