Arnold E. Jensen Obituary

Arnold E. Jensen, 96, of Woodland Drive, Plattsburgh, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the UVHN:CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Hardwick, N.Y. on May 20, 1928, the son of Aage and Gladys Hanson Jensen.

In his younger years Arnold worked for Sunny Hill Dairy Farm in Pine Plains, N.Y. where he first met his wife Theresa Brunelle. They were married on April 5, 1953. Arnold became a Lineman with the Plattsburgh Municipal Lighting Department, retiring in 1988 as a Foreman. He was a member of the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge # 621. Arnold was an avid hunter and fisherman, he traveled to Colorado for Deer and Elk Hunting and Newfoundland for moose hunting.

He is survived by his children; Michael Jensen and his wife Elizabeth, Sharon Sindo and her husband Peter, Susan Polhemus and her husband Kirk and Lynda Ploutz and her husband Anthony, his grandchildren; Jenifer, Megan, Amy, Nick, Sarah, Mary, Ben, Chris and Elisa, his great grandchildren; Norah, Jeffrey, Joseph, Colin and Chase, a brother Robert Jensen and his wife Bonnie, a sister-in-law Janet Brunelle-Kisler, several nieces and nephews also survive him.

He is predeceased by his wife Theresa.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Donations may be made to the Elmore SPCA or a charity of ones choice.
