Anne L. Thomas, 88, of Route 9, Chazy, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025.

Anne was born in Worcester, England on July 29, 1936, the daughter of Frederick and Violet (Cogbill) Oliver. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Veronica (Stevens) Oliver.

Anne married the love of her life, Michael Thomas, on April 14, 1956 in Worcester. Anne and Michael moved to the United States in 1976 with their two daughters, Jane and Susan, and eventually settled in Chazy, N.Y. Michael passed away in 2020.

Anne was a dedicated and meticulous homemaker, with an eye for detail and love of caring for her family. She took great pride in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Determined and steadfast in her ways, Anne is also remembered for her quick-wit and kind nature. She loved helping others, while also bringing a smile and laugh to those around her.

In her downtime, Anne loved a good game of "bird, animal, fish", Yahtzee, scrabble, checkers, French cricket or croquet. She was also known for her interest in beauty and fashion, always wearing a gorgeous dress, matching accessories, and perfectly styled hair. Anne was a master of knitting and an amazing baker - hobbies her family greatly benefited from! Her other passions included watching wildlife and tending to her gardens, caring for her dogs, purchasing all of the latest "As Seen On TV" gizmos & gadgets, and watching football and sci-fi movies.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Jane Simpson and Susan (William) Ealey; grandchildren, Winfred (Kristen Ashline) Simpson, Carly (Ben) Simpson-Hamelin, Harmony (Steve Lenhart) Simpson, Savannah (Chris) Hein, Candice (Dave) Dahlenburg and Samantha (Nick) Bartholdi; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 nephews.

Services will be private and burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy.
