Albert George Gokey
Albert George Gokey, 94, of Rouses Point, N.Y., passed away on Dec. 9, 2019, in Champlain, N.Y. He was born in Flint, Mich., on May 5, 1925, to George and Rose Gokey. He loved the numerous international trips that brought him to Italy, Germany, England, and Mexico. Albert always loved farming and worked on many area farms during his lifetime, up until his mid-eighties. He and wife Phyllis enjoyed friends, visits to see their grandchildren, church dinners and sitting on the porch and watching the traffic go by. Albert served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII having served in Germany in 1946/47. He was a volunteer fireman in Rouses Point and took pleasure working the garden in his backyard.
Albert is survived by sons Richard in Champlain, Robert in Roswell, Ga., his sister Bernice Demers in Champlain, grandchildren Gregory Gokey in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ashton Gokey in Atlanta, as well as many nieces and nephews in Clinton County, and Georgia and Florida. Albert is predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Nutt), parents George and Rose, and siblings Carl, Leeward, Virginia, Genevieve, Bernice, Marie and Pauline.

So sorry to hear this news. My sympathy goes out to the Gokey family. I knew Albert from Harris and I always enjoyed his story from his travels overseas. Helped him with his expense reports . He was such a nice man. May he rest in peace.
