Albert W. 'Foxy, Pa Pa Joe' LaValley Obituary

Albert W. "Foxy, Pa Pa Joe" LaValley, 82 of Mooers, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center.. He was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Ellenburg, son of Albert and Bertha (Huggins) LaValley. He loved to hunt, fish and trap. He could always be seen at the Indian Bingo Palace playing bingo or pushing quarters into the slot machines. Monday nights were always a special time for Pa Pa Joe; his sons and grandsons would always join him to watch Monday night wrestling.. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Gertrude (Arquette) LaValley; his infant son, Adam; three brothers, Harold, Clarence and Alfred LaValley. He is also predeceased by one sister, Mabel Stone; and one grandson, Bradly LaBombard, who passed away April 26, 2010.. Survivors include three sons, Yancy LaValley of Mooers, Lee LaValley Sr. and his wife, Kathleen of Ellenburg, Mark LaValley and his wife, Toni of Peru; three daughters, Cathy Snide of Waterbury, Conn., Lorelee LaBombard and her companion, Joe Cayea of Lyon Mountain, Gail Servedus and her husband, Edward of Naugatuck, Conn.; his lifelong companion, Marie St. Andrew of Mooers; his stepchildren, Debra McClinton and companion, Clifford Jones of Plattsburgh, Bert and Carol Dupee of Chateaugay, William and Joyce Dupee of Burke, Russell Dupee and companion, Karen Manor of Mooers Forks, Evelyn Gay of Mooers, Candy and Richard Reinhardt of Mooers, Cindy and Robert Breyette of Amenia, N.Y., Lynn Golden and companion, Almon Lawrence of Plattsburgh, Catherine and Timothy LaFountain of Mooers; one brother, Justin Houle of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Irene Hemmingway of Mooers and Mildred Durocher of Massachusetts; 47 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at St. Anne's Church in Mooers Forks.. Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home, 2586 Route 11, Mooers.
