Wanda Nephew, 59, of Champlain Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, in Buffalo. She was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 4, 1957, the daughter of Francis and Beatrice (Bruso) Senecal.
Wanda married John Nephew on Nov. 1, 1975, at Our Lady of Victory Church.
She drove bus and did secretarial work for over 23 years at JCEO in Plattsburgh. Wanda was past president of CSEA Union. She also drove bus for the ARC, Wanda loved to stay busy. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, Bingo and the holidays. The best times were spent with her family enjoying a pizza or Michigans or going for rides around the North Country looking for the perfect garage sale.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, John Nephew; her parents, Francis and Beatrice Senecal; her children, Heather Duell and her companion Trevor, Cory Nephew and his wife Brandee, John Nephew and his companion Michelle; her sisters Penney Senecal and spouse Kerry Miciotto, Terri Senecal and her companion Crystal Brockington; grandchildren, Autumn, Heather, Josh, Dylan, Caidan, Julian, Elianna, Sabryn, Miyah, Zavier, Andrew; great-grandchildren Roman, Riley, Elliott and Cohen.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 20th, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be private in St. Peter's Cemetery.
