Mrs. Veronica M. Plummer, 85, of Tom Miller Road, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility with family by her side. She was born in Chateaugay on Sept. 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Herbert and Irene (Ploof) Lancto.
Veronica loved children and operated a day care service. She was a foster parent and enjoyed camping and traveling. She was a member of St. James Church in Cadyville.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Vicki Kezar of Cadyville, Jeffrey Plummer of Glens Falls, Kevin and Kathy Kezar of Schuyler Falls, five daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathy and Dan McGrath of Glens Falls, Judith Petit of Glens Falls, Karen and Tim Deming of Glens Falls, Donna Jo Plummer of Saranac, Diane Plummer and partner Roger Crowningshield of Keeseville; her siblings and their spouses, Roger Lancto of Watertown, Richard and Mary Lancto of Cadyville, Carol Lancto of Malone; a brother-in-law, Victor LaClair of Plattsburgh; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Plummer in 2006. Her sisters, Kathleen Lancto and Gloria LaClair and brothers, Gordon Lancto, Donald Lancto, also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, at St. James Church in Cadyville. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
