Terry Nolette of Au Sable Forks, N.Y., passed away June 14, 2017, at his home under the care of Hospice. He was born in Massena, N.Y., to Blanche Nolette. Terry was a disabled Vietnam veteran who served two
tours in Vietnam from 1970-1972. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and teaching them the right way (his way) of doing things.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Nelson) Nolette of Au Sable Forks, and daughters Tammy (Marty) Cumber of Peru, N.Y., Kate (Keith) Reynolds of Au Sable, N.Y., and Terri(Bob) Stevens of Lake Placid. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters and his best friend and caregiver, Bessie; also a brother-in-law and sisters and brothers-in-law and their families. He is predeceased by his mother; his mother and father-in-law, Grace and Ted Nelson; his brother-in-law Bill Prudhon whom he had coffee with every morning, and his best friends Frank Macey and Fred Baker.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, at Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks, N.Y., with a funeral with military honors to follow; burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be sent to disabled Vietnam veterans of the North Country or to Hospice of the North Country.
