Mrs. Sylvia R. Trembley, 87, of Chazy, N.Y., entered into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, and re-unite with her devoted husband, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, N.Y. She was born in Plattsburgh, on Dec. 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (Carpenter) Burdo.
Sylvia retired from CVPH working at the time in central dispatch. She had an exceptional singing voice and enjoyed singing in the Sweet Adeline's and church choir. While singing Ave Maria, a young man was totally captivated by her whom she soon called her loving husband. Sylvia had a great passion for her family and made family gatherings special celebrations of food, music, and creativity. She was a woman of great faith who instilled the same in her family.
She is survived by her children; Sherry Jubert, Skip Trembley and his wife Janet, David Trembley and his wife Tami, Jill Bombard and her husband Mark, her grandchildren; Chris and his wife Melody, Nikki, April and her husband Chuck, Julie, Lacie, Katie and her husband Brennen, Maegan and her husband Trevor, and Stacy and her husband Hugh, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Alfred J.
"Fred" Trembley; on July 22, 2016. Her parents, her brothers Charles and Earl and her sister Lucille, also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be at 9 to 11 am on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 11 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with her son Pastor Alfred "Skip" Trembley officiating. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy at a later date.
