Steven K. Plumadore, 60, of Dannemora, passed away on March 20, 2017, after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on July 9, 1956. He was the son of Henry and Mary Plumadore who preceded him. He is survived by his two children,
Steven and Heather whom he adored and his two grandchildren, Rebecca and Steven. Also one brother, Richard Plumadore (Robin), three sisters, Marilyn Velie (Jim), Tammy Plumadore (Stacey), Brenda Shook (Steve) and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is also survived by his stepfather, Rod Gero.
Besides his parents, Steve was also preceded by his brother, Larry Plumadore and his brother-in-law, Don Velie.
Steve was loved by everyone who knew him. One of his favorite things to do was to sit by a bonfire with family and friends where he was the life of the party and the number one fire tender. Steve was truly one of a kind and there will never be another like him. He had an
astounding since of humor that made everyone around him laugh. Even in his very last hours with us, his humor didn't cease to amaze us.
By Steve's request, his urn was built with love by his nephew Rob Velie from cherry cut off the Plumadore farm where his grandfather was born and raised.
Due to Steve's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private service will be at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, N.Y.
