He was born Wednesday, March 2, 1938, the son of Mabel and Norman Flemming of Riley Avenue, Plattsburgh. He graduated from St. Johns in 1957, where his football buddies fondly referred to him as "Razor."
Ralph worked as an electrician for over 50 years, retiring from the IBEW in the spring of 2000. He was considered by many to be a "jack of all trades" and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

His favorite sporting activity was golf, and he cherished his time spent playing rounds at the "Barracks" for many years.
In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed model railroading and as a talented artist created many wonderful oil paintings. He also had a green thumb and his vegetable garden on Salmon River Road was admired by all who passed by.
Left to cherish the memory of Ralph are, his loving wife of 56 years, Lucy; five children, David (Renata), Eric (Debbie), Dan (Beth), Patrick, and Susan; and thirteen grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 14, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish priest, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, South Catherine Street, Plattsburgh.
