Paul L. Lagree, 72, formerly of Churubusco, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at The Alice Center in Malone, N.Y.
Paul was born in Churubusco, N.Y., on Aug. 17, 1944, the son of Augustine and Loretta (Nichols) Lagree.
Paul worked for several local farms including the Miner and LaClair Farms and he was employed at Gillette in Andover, Mass., as a laborer. He was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Churubusco. He had a great love and appreciation for music, especially country music. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was a shy, quiet, simple man but he was deeply loved and cherished by all who had the opportunity to truly know him.
Paul is survived by a sister, Martha Guay and her husband Bruce of Ellenburg Depot; three brothers, Edgar Lagree and Renate Russell of Clearwater, Fla., William Lagree of Malone, George Lagree and his wife Cheryl of Churubusco, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Augustine and Loretta, two sisters, Mary Forrette and Agnes Forrette and three brothers, Henry Lagree, Francis Lagree and Harold Lagree.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at St. Edmund's Church. Burial will take place in the spring at Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Churubusco.
