Beekmantown - Mr. Milton "Mickey" H. Lapham, 86, formerly of Beekmantown, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the UVM CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on Oct. 11, 1930, the son of Leon and Elizabeth (Desso) Lapham.
Mickey worked as the Transportation Manager for Beekmantown Central School until his retirement. He loved to be out riding his motorcycle and taking trips.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Lapham.
Milton is survived by his daughter, Karen Celentano and her husband Paul, Robert Lapham, Todd Lapham and his wife Lisa, his step-children, James Roberts, Terry LaValley, and Laurel Nowacki and her husband Christopher; his grandchildren, Eric Gonyo and Bambi James; his three great-grandchildren, his sister Christina Miner and her husband Jerome, and his sister-in-law, Bernice M. Lapham and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, N.Y. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mickey's name may be made to the Elmore SPCA. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the 4th Floor Progressive Care Unit at the UVM CVPH Medical Center for their compassionate care.
