Mary's Story

Mary B. Souliere-Rennell, 81, formerly of Port Kent, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Harkness, May 20, 1935, the daughter of Orville and Phyllis (Carter) Keyes. Mary grew up in Peru and graduated from Peru High School in 1953.
Mary worked for Imperial Paper Mill in Plattsburgh for many years, retiring in 1997.
She loved music & dancing. She was a regular at the VFW dances in Redford and Plattsburgh. In her early years she was an avid bowler and won many trophies playing tournament pool in the area.
Left to cherish the memory of Mary are, her husband, Robert Rennell of Sacramento, Calif.; her children, Paul and Donna Souliere of Charlotte, N.C., Mary and Richard Wolfe of Brooksville, Fla., Carol and Steve Blaise of Keeseville, N.Y. and Jon Souliere and Dru Ford of Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother, James and Mildred Keyes; sisters, Patricia Brown of Plattsburgh, and Marcelete "Peg" and John St. Clair, and Dorothy & Dennis Prinson, all of Harkness; and many special grandchildren, cherished great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Souliere; daughter, Laura Souliere; her sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Joseph Souliere; and sister, Connie LaFontaine.
Relatives and friends may call from 11 to Noon Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at Noon in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edie A. Poland, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Whispering Maples Memorial Masoleum, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
