Mary M. Chamberlain, 50, of Chesterfield Street, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Plattsburgh, July 13, 1966, the daughter of Leo E. and Lydia A. (Hebert) Chamberlain. She grew up in Peru and graduated from Peru Central School in 1984. After graduation she attended Clinton Community College.
As fate would have it, she met the love her life, Stephen Law of Keeseville, June of 1993 at the Peru Fireman's Field Day. A friendship grew and in May of 1997 they joined together in a common residence and lived together until her passing.
She was currently employed at the ARC in Keeseville. She enjoyed working there and cherished her many friends there.
Mary was an avid NASCAR fan and was especially fond of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Together with Stephen, she enjoyed camping at AuSable Pines Campsite. Mary also enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and barbecuing.
Left to cherish the memory of Mary are, her life partner, Stephen Law of Keeseville; siblings, Ann Hay and her daughter, Elizabeth Coss, both of Plattsburgh, Francis "Chip" Chamberlain of Winooski, Vt., and David Chamberlain and his wife Sharon of Morrisonville; two aunts, Joyce Bruno and her husband Clarence Jr., and Judy Gromer and her husband Phil; Stephen's parents, Robert and Florence Law; and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Marie and Francis Chamberlain; maternal grandparents, Gabriel and Eleanor Hebert; and several aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru.
