Mr. Kenneth C. Jiguere, 76, of Hardscrabble Road in Cadyville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Clinton County Nursing Home with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 30, 1940, the son of the late Clifford and Cora (Frenyea) Jiguere.
He served in the U.S. Navy Sea-Bees and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a self employed painter for many years and later worked for SUNY Plattsburgh. He was a member of American Legion Post 1619. He enjoyed tinkering and building things. He was kind and loving husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy (Brady) Jiguere; his children and their spouses, David Jiguere and companion Danielle Brienza of Altona, Brenda Jiguere and husband Daniel Moore of Petersburgh, N.Y., Kelly Jiguere and companion Eric Barcomb of Rouses Point; his siblings and their spouses, Fred "Sonny" Jiguere of Plattsburgh, Raymond and Loretta Jiguere of Plattsburgh, Judy and Ford Anson of Plattsburgh, Jane Delaney of Dannemora; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Jiguere; and a sister, Sue Royal.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row in Cadyville. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in old St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville. Memorial donations may be offered to the Alzheimers Assistance Center at SUNY Plattsburgh.
